Our next step this week is: Step by step challenge
What you will need is:
– Blindfold
– Fun object
Place an object in a highly visible, but somewhat distant place. Tell the kids the challenge is to get from where they are now to the other side and pick up the object but they have to wear a blindfold! Ask for a volunteer who is willing to try. Place a blindfold on and turn them around one time. Then, let them try to retrieve the object. Make sure they don’t run into anything or hurt themselves.
Stop them after a few moments and say, “Great job trying!” Tell them to put the blindfold back on and guide them step by step until they have the object. It is easier to do something when someone guides you, isn’t it? I was watching over you to make sure you didn’t get hurt and you knew the right way to go.
