Generosity

We believe God calls us to a life of generosity. That includes your time, your talent, and, yes, your money. One way that we embody our faith everyday is by being generous with others as God has been with us.

Your Generosity At Work

In Our Church

We provide the tangible presence of Jesus and opportunities to be formed into being like Jesus.

In Our Community

We are in Clark County, thus FOR Clark County. We see needs and meet needs.

In Our World

We mobilize and release others to work for the good of the cities they are led to serve. We come alongside them in tangible ways to aid in seeing their vision fulfilled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Generosity grows your heart. Money as a representation of time demonstrates what we value. The Bible says, “Where your treasure is there your heart will be also.”

Giving is a formative practice that aligns our heart with God.

“Tithes and offerings” are biblical words to describe giving money back to God through the church. A tithe is a tenth of your earnings. And offering is above and beyond that tenth.

No. We believe that we respond to Jesus through generous living and giving. We encourage everyone to give as they are able because it reflects the generosity and grace we have been shown by Jesus.

We have three types of funds: 1) General – for all operations and community engagement, 2) Pastoral – our pastoral staff raise their salary in order to serve the people of Generations and the community, and 3) Special – for different initiatives that go above and beyond general needs.

Your giving goes toward meeting needs within the church community and broader community so that people will be told about Jesus and expereince what He has done for them.

The finances of Generations are overseen by a Board (Partnership Team) of internal and external partners. All income and expenses are accounted for each month and certified by the Partnership Team. Generations maintains a database of all giving in order to report to donors their tax-deductible donations each quarter.

Because Generations is a start up church, Generations operates through the donations of local participants and external partners. Generations has a goal of being self-sustaining within five years, meaning internal tithes and offerings will increase and the donations of external partners with decrease. We also intend to be creative by starting various non-profits and businesses in order to work for the good of our community.
